Welcome to Spotlight for Success by American Book Company.
00:00:09.112 --> 00:00:16.388
We are here at the Georgia Educational Technology Conference speaking with Jeff Stolzenberger of Vivi.
00:00:16.388 --> 00:00:18.091
How are you today?
00:00:18.500 --> 00:00:18.801
Excellent.
00:00:18.801 --> 00:00:19.606
Thank you for having me Devin.
00:00:19.879 --> 00:00:22.289
Wonderful Jeff, tell me a little bit about yourself.
00:00:23.239 --> 00:00:25.949
Yeah, I was born and raised in New Jersey.
00:00:25.949 --> 00:00:29.030
I went to University of North Carolina, wilmington.
00:00:29.030 --> 00:00:31.986
I studied communication studies.
00:00:31.986 --> 00:00:36.048
I always had sales in the back of my mind but I didn't really know where I wanted to go with it.
00:00:36.048 --> 00:00:43.445
And yeah, I was fortunate enough to land Vivi on LinkedIn and it's been over three years now and it's been tremendous.
00:00:44.045 --> 00:00:45.027
That is fantastic.
00:00:45.027 --> 00:00:47.011
And what brought you to Vivian?
00:00:47.011 --> 00:00:47.932
How was that process?
00:00:54.942 --> 00:00:56.966
It was a little uncertain because of the pandemic.
00:00:56.966 --> 00:01:00.192
I didn't have an internship after college, so I was applying to several SDR sales development rep roles all over.
00:01:00.192 --> 00:01:15.768
Stumbled upon Vivian on LinkedIn, thought it was intriguing and as soon as I met with who my now manager is John Kruthofer we just hit it off immediately and yeah, I never saw myself in EdTech, but it's been absolutely tremendous.
00:01:16.429 --> 00:01:20.911
That is great and I understand there was like a first involved with the company, with you?
00:01:23.072 --> 00:01:30.236
Yeah, so when I initially met with them they actually said well, initially on LinkedIn they said their office was in Miami.
00:01:30.236 --> 00:01:38.691
And when I met with them they're like, yeah, well, you're actually the first of six sales development reps and we don't have an office here.
00:01:38.691 --> 00:01:39.192
We're totally remote.
00:01:39.192 --> 00:01:40.680
We started in Australia based off of a teacher request.
00:01:40.680 --> 00:01:46.602
Actually is how Vivi was founded, and we're made by educators for educators, and I've learned a lot here.
00:01:47.144 --> 00:01:48.441
Wow, that is awesome.
00:01:48.441 --> 00:01:54.025
And what kind of things are you doing now and what are you hoping to get out of the Georgia Educational Technology Conference?
00:01:54.828 --> 00:02:01.186
Yeah, this conference has been incredible, just building relationships, building rapport with some of our current customers.
00:02:01.186 --> 00:02:08.771
But you know, vivi itself, we really create an environment in a school where all screens are connected.
00:02:08.771 --> 00:02:17.251
So that includes wireless screen mirroring, digital signage, emergency visual alerts and live video announcements.
00:02:17.251 --> 00:02:20.129
And you know we work with some of the folks at Howard.
00:02:20.129 --> 00:02:22.168
You know we integrate with Promethean.
00:02:22.168 --> 00:02:24.945
So, yeah, definitely met some good people here.
00:02:25.348 --> 00:02:26.069
Oh, that's great.
00:02:26.069 --> 00:02:34.349
You know it's an educational technology conference, and even among the exhibitors as well, there's a lot of camaraderie and a lot of collaboration.
00:02:34.349 --> 00:02:36.405
It's fantastic to see that.
00:02:36.645 --> 00:02:38.050
No doubt, for sure yeah.
00:02:38.419 --> 00:02:44.712
And so are there any special takeaways or special moments you've had working with the education community, doing what you do?
00:02:46.203 --> 00:02:46.723
Honestly?
00:02:46.723 --> 00:03:18.560
Putting a face to the name and you know, because working in a remote world you miss that aspect, of course and just hearing stories from whether it's teachers or tech directors, of people that we've worked with or people that are just testing Vivi, their feedback is tremendous and we really do make teachers' lives easier, as well as IT departments' lives easier and this conference has been a great way to sort of engage with partners as well, for sure, obviously.
00:03:18.580 --> 00:03:24.780
Wonderful and tell us a little bit how did you get involved with the education industry in doing this?
00:03:28.099 --> 00:03:29.622
I was lucky enough just to once I scored that interview.
00:03:29.622 --> 00:03:30.123
Um really had no path.
00:03:30.123 --> 00:03:30.925
To be honest, um and I was.
00:03:30.925 --> 00:03:40.801
Once I started with Vivi, I actually fell in love with it, and my mom herself is actually a high school english teacher and I've learned a lot from her on it as well.
00:03:40.801 --> 00:03:45.735
But um, she's passionate about education and we tried to tap into their district.
00:03:45.735 --> 00:03:55.990
Um, funding wasn't there, but she's like this literally would just make teachers lives so much easier, and we're really designed to save teachers time as well as IT directors as well so,
00:03:56.311 --> 00:03:58.040
Jeff, that's wonderful the work you're doing.
00:03:58.221 --> 00:04:03.288
Yeah, can you let everybody know at the georgia tech where they can find you at vivi,
00:04:04.491 --> 00:04:04.831
So we're vivi.
00:04:04.831 --> 00:04:06.294
io.
00:04:06.294 --> 00:04:11.629
Uh, that's our website and or just on linkedin, vivi.
00:04:11.629 --> 00:04:16.199
But yeah, that's actually pretty much it all right.
00:04:16.339 --> 00:04:17.142
Well, thank you so much.
00:04:17.142 --> 00:04:18.447
Appreciate uh speaking with you.
00:04:18.447 --> 00:04:20.783
I hope you have a great rest of the conference absolutely.
00:04:20.824 --> 00:04:21.004
Thank you,
00:04:21.024 --> 00:04:21.225
thank you.
00:00:04.921 --> 00:00:09.112
00:00:09.112 --> 00:00:16.388
00:00:16.388 --> 00:00:18.091
00:00:18.500 --> 00:00:18.801
00:00:18.801 --> 00:00:19.606
00:00:19.879 --> 00:00:22.289
00:00:23.239 --> 00:00:25.949
00:00:25.949 --> 00:00:29.030
00:00:29.030 --> 00:00:31.986
00:00:31.986 --> 00:00:36.048
00:00:36.048 --> 00:00:43.445
00:00:44.045 --> 00:00:45.027
00:00:45.027 --> 00:00:47.011
00:00:47.011 --> 00:00:47.932
00:00:54.942 --> 00:00:56.966
00:00:56.966 --> 00:01:00.192
00:01:00.192 --> 00:01:15.768
00:01:16.429 --> 00:01:20.911
00:01:23.072 --> 00:01:30.236
00:01:30.236 --> 00:01:38.691
00:01:38.691 --> 00:01:39.192
00:01:39.192 --> 00:01:40.680
00:01:40.680 --> 00:01:46.602
00:01:47.144 --> 00:01:48.441
00:01:48.441 --> 00:01:54.025
00:01:54.828 --> 00:02:01.186
00:02:01.186 --> 00:02:08.771
00:02:08.771 --> 00:02:17.251
00:02:17.251 --> 00:02:20.129
00:02:20.129 --> 00:02:22.168
00:02:22.168 --> 00:02:24.945
00:02:25.348 --> 00:02:26.069
00:02:26.069 --> 00:02:34.349
00:02:34.349 --> 00:02:36.405
00:02:36.645 --> 00:02:38.050
00:02:38.419 --> 00:02:44.712
00:02:46.203 --> 00:02:46.723
00:02:46.723 --> 00:03:18.560
00:03:18.580 --> 00:03:24.780
00:03:28.099 --> 00:03:29.622
00:03:29.622 --> 00:03:30.123
00:03:30.123 --> 00:03:30.925
00:03:30.925 --> 00:03:40.801
00:03:40.801 --> 00:03:45.735
00:03:45.735 --> 00:03:55.990
00:03:56.311 --> 00:03:58.040
00:03:58.221 --> 00:04:03.288
00:04:04.491 --> 00:04:04.831
00:04:04.831 --> 00:04:06.294
00:04:06.294 --> 00:04:11.629
00:04:11.629 --> 00:04:16.199
